Privacy
This notice describes the current Eat Safely website. You can explore public food-safety records without creating an account.
Your state preference
The explorer saves your selected state in your browser's local storage so it can restore that choice on a later visit. It is a preference, not a request for your precise location. The site does not request device geolocation.
The selected state is also sent to our service when requesting its public records. You can change the selection in the explorer or remove the saved preference by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Technical data and providers
Like other websites, serving Eat Safely involves network requests. Hosting and delivery providers may process technical details such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser information, timestamps, and errors to deliver, secure, and operate the service. This notice does not promise a specific retention period for provider logs.
The explorer loads public map geometry from jsDelivr, a third-party content delivery service. That request goes directly from your browser to the provider. Food and retailer images are served by this site. Public records are read from a hosted database through our service.
If you follow a link to an agency or another website, that website's privacy practices apply.
What the current site does not ask for
The current site has no account registration, payment forms, or forms for submitting health information. Its application code does not include analytics, advertising, or third-party error-tracking tools. The application does not set tracking cookies; its saved state preference uses local storage.
These limits describe the current website, not a promise that infrastructure providers keep no technical logs.
Changes to this notice
Updates will be published on this page if the website's practices change.
